THE ST. JOSEPH PROJECT

The Renovation ProcessSt. Joseph Church in Ypsilanti was built in the 1960s and featured cement block walls, asbestos tile flooring, and unsightly galvanized metal ductwork running prominently along the center of the ceiling. JMJ was commissioned by St. Joseph's Beautification Committee to thoroughly renovate the interior of the church. Our team framed out the existing block walls, installed and painted drywall, installed new tile flooring, built custom oak radiator covers, created an arched drop ceiling to cover the duct work, installed quarter sawn oak trim and molding, built custom sacred furnishings including a high altar, free-standing altar, pulpit, and baptismal font, as well as custom built niches for statues and a custom built in cabinet for sacred oils.
